PREP ENROLMENTS
We commence taking enrolment paperwork for Prep on the first day of Term 2, the year before the student is due to start school.  Once Administration has looked at the number of prospective Prep enrolments we can determine classes and staffing.  In September we write to families to offer their child a placement and ask families to respond and to invite them to a “Prep Information Session”, a “Stay & Play Session” and an “Open Classroom Session”.  These sessions are recommended but are not compulsory.  You might choose to attend one or all three, it’s up to the individual.

To determine when your child can commence their prep year, use the prep ready reckoner calculator or by visiting http://www.qld.gov.au/education/earlychildhood/prep/pages/enrolments.html

We look forward to welcoming you to our Freshwater State School community.
