Freshwater State School has a number of extra-curricular activities happening throughout the year.
Some are run by the school and others by various community bodies.
These include:
  • Reader’s Club – before school in the Library –all students welcome
  • Guitar Lessons – held by a private instructor during school hours
  • Staff Wellbeing Activities e.g. after school Yoga
  • Coding Club – first break on Mondays
  • Chess Club – first break on Tuesdays
  • Hula Hoops Club – first break on Tuesdays
  • Cricket Club – first break on Wednesdays
  • Origami Club – first break on Thursdays
  • Basketball Club – first break on Fridays
  • Drama Lessons (hosted by The Young Company after school hours)
  • Granfriends – practical skills training typically used by older generations (sewing, knitting, crochet etc)
  • Sports Training by various local clubs after hours – refer to our Newsletter for further information and contact details
