The present Freshwater school was established by the department of public instruction on the 23 of October 1923. Currently we have 30 air-conditioned teaching spaces, a covered play area, an administration block, a resource centre, computer labs, music room, instrumental music room, tuckshop, school shop and outside school hours care facilities.
Sporting facilities are now in existence for cricket, soccer, netball, basketball, softball, t-ball, athletics, rugby league and Australian football. There is also an exciting adventure playground for years 1 to 4. These facilities have been provided by an active parents' and citizens' association over the years of the school's existence.
